Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary tried to take the papers to the TV news reporter in today’s press conference in Oslo, Norway.
The company is being sharply criticized for its poor working conditions, including from an anonymous Rygge-employee who stands out in Moss Avis today – several trade unions are even boycotting the company.
NRK Østfold reporter Lars Håkon Pedersen experienced it all up close.
NRK’s reporter showed Michael O `Leary an employment contract that she wanted him to comment on. She tried to view a page that did not show the name of the contract owner. O `Leary took the contract out of her hands and tried to look at it,” says Pedersen.
The reporter was able to pull the document back again, so that O `Leary could not see who owned the contract.
What he saw was that it was not an employment contract, but a training contract for six months, “said Pedersen.
The incident happened at a press conference where Ryanair stated that they will have a fourth based plane in place at Moss Airport Rygge in March-April next year.
Conditions resembeling slave labor in Ryanair
The same day that Ryanair held the press conference, an employee spoke out about what he calls slave-like working conditions. The person who spoke to Moss Avis will remain anonymous. “Ryanair is firing people on the day over smaller issues than this. None of us are allowed to speak with the press,” said the employee, which tells of an hourly wage of 16 euros for the time the plane is in the air.
Ryanair again rejects all criticism
All Ryanair staff can theoretically join a union, but it is true that we do not negotiate with unions. We are instead in a dialogue with representatives of our own employees, “said McNamara to Moss Avis.
He denies that the employees will only get paid for the time they are in the air, and that one gets fired for getting too late, if it is not repeated after the warnings.
So what is the purpose of this Iraq inquiry? To mock democracy? But even that is rather costly.
Anyway, no change will come from this. Why does media even cover this farce?
Meanwhile, some other religious terrorist named Osama bin Laden, a mass murderer who owns his fortunes to oil, makes public complaints about other people polluting and benefitting from, oil!
Stupidity has no limits.
Welcome to 2010!
NRK is reporting on the incident outside Oslo where a driver of a VW Golf was caught covering his face with a newspaper while he was driving past the automatic speed camera.
The reckless driver was recorded doing 133 km/h.
Copied from Beeb:
Norway has said it has been assured by the Democratic Republic of Congo that two Norwegian nationals sentenced to death will not now be executed.
Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said he had received the guarantee from his DRC counterpart, Alexis Thambwe Mwamba.
Joshua French, who holds joint British-Norwegian nationality, and Tjostolv Moland were convicted in September of murdering a taxi driver and spying.
The two men lost an appeal at a military tribunal on 3 December.
Mr Stoere said that Mr Thambwe Mwamba had assured him during a conversation that a moratorium on executions in DR Congo meant that the death sentence would not be carried out.
The tribunal appeal in Kisangani upheld the death sentences on Moland and French – former Norwegian soldiers convicted of murdering their Congolese driver.
They and the Norwegian state were also ordered to pay $500m (£300m) in damages.
The rulings drew immediate international protests amid claims of miscarriages of justice.
Norwegian national broadcaster NRK says the pair plan to appeal against the sentence in Kinshasa’s supreme court, AP news agency reports.
Moland and French have been held since May this year since their Congolese driver was found shot dead.
Both men deny murdering Abedi Kasongo, 47, maintaining that he was shot and killed when their car was ambushed by gunmen on the road near the city of Kisangani.
Suspected cannibals killed a young man, ate parts of him and then sold other bits to a kebab shop.
Cops also believe the 25-year-old victim’s body parts may have been used to fill pies too.
The trio of homeless guys were arrested in Russia – accused of murdering the man with knives and a hammer.
Prosecutors revealed: “After carrying out the crime, the corpse was divided up – part of it was eaten and part of it was sold to a kiosk selling kebabs and pies.”
Suspicions were raised when dismembered parts of a human body were found near a bus stop in the outskirts of the Russian city of Perm – which is 720 miles east of Moscow.
The three men all have criminal records, said Russian cops.
They have been arrested on suspicion of killing their victim – who has not been named – before chopping up his corpse to eat.
Detectives for the Prem region released the astonishing statement that the human remains could have been used for kebabs and pies on their http://www.susk.perm.ru website.
But police said it was not clear yet if any of the human meat had been sold to customers.
For fear of competance and qualified workers, the Norwegian tax office illegally refuse external publication of their own vancancies. Turns out all this time, vacancies have only been displayed witin their own offices!
Sounds too humorous to bee true? No it’s true alright.

The reactions to the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Barack Obama were what you would expect.
Norwegians have been left feeling humiliated by the incompetance and disrespect of the ideals of Alfred Nobel’s will as managed by the Nobel Peace committee, and the tarnished reputation left by their decisions. Not the first time, but it’s been a while since the politics and incompetance was this obvious even to the dumbest person in the room.
In a matter of hours, Norway has become the target of a lot of well placed jokes about it’s perception of reality. However, for the time being, it appears that the majority of Norwegians joins in on the criticism of the committee.
Here are some of the reactions to the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize from around the world:
– “If Obama deserves the Noble Peace Prize then so does every Miss America contestant who babbles about world peace.”
– “The title is worth nothing, because Obama took office less than 10 days before the Feb. 1 deadline for Nobel Prize nominations.”
– “I have only heard his speech [in Cairo]. I have seen nothing apart from that, just promises. I don’t think it’s enough, yet. But if he completes the withdrawal of the Americans and we completely get rid of their presence in the Middle East, then all Iraqis will thank Obama and trust America again. Then he will deserve not only the Nobel prize, but every other peace accolade the world has to offer. If he really wants to work for peace, tell him to continue working for it in Iraq.”
– “Yes. He’s Got the Prize. Now he should earn it.”
– “I bet Kim Jong Il is shaking with jealous rage in his platform shoes. He hasn’t bombed anyone and he didn’t get a look in.”
– “I wonder what the 6 children killed in a NATO attack in Afghanistan last week has to say about this? Oh wait… They can’t. Cause they’ve been bombed by the peace effort!”
– “The Nobel Prize just won the award for best overall award.”
– “I think they should give Obama a Grammy too.”
– “I think they should give Obama an Oscar too.”
– “If you listen real hard you can hear the moon crying today.”
– “To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize — men and women who’ve inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace…
…I know that throughout history, the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it’s also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes. And that is why I will accept this award as a call to action — a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century.” – US President Barack Obama
Thorbjørn Jagland of the Nobel committee said something too, and we WILL post his comments too, as soon as we can find anyone that understands his English.
Will this award tie Obama to his goals and aspirations and strengthen his efforts and belief, or will it become a burden on him and for him?
Did Obama deserve it? Should he accept it? Will he change his mind?
People are already asking themselves who will be awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize.
The odds seem heavily in favour of the Nobel Committee itself. But, if you think this is a new and original joke, Norwegians have already cracked jokes about this for more than 30 years, ever since Knut Aunbu and Johnny Bergh wrote the comedy “To Norway, Home of Giants” in 1979.
(Fast forward to 7:42 in Part 2, if you only want to watch the Nobel Peace Committee sketch.)
Just like every year, Geir Lundestad of the Nobel committee, one of the most arrogant and self-righteous people in Norway will tell Norwegians how stupid they are, and how none of them have his high intellectual capacity required to understand any of this.
Torbjørn Jageland meanwhile will try to learn to speak English in the 2 months before the Norwegian Oscars. (Good luck. You will need it! Really, really need it!)
The establishment will sleep peacefully tonight.
See you at the establishment awards (Great! There blows the whole Oslo Police budget for 2009 and then some).
PS. Should anyone be interested in peace matters (this issue seems to have been overshadowed by all the political nonsense and personal opportunism), global military expenditure for 2008 was 1,470,000,000,000 USD.
Peace to all!
It’s just been made official that president Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
Will Smith was already made host of the Peace Prize show prior to the nomination.

August 28th 2009. Kinshasa, Congo.
Has Charlie Sheen just been sentenced to death 5 times in combination with a demand of 500 billion USD worth, during a trial in Congo? Well it may look like it. His real name however is Tjolstolv Moland, while his equally unlucky parner to the right on the picture is Joshua French.
A military prosecutor in Congo asked the court on Friday to sentence to death 5 times + 20 years the two Norwegians accused of killing their driver Abedi Kasongo in May earlier this year.
The two Norwegian mercenaries Joshua French (27), and Tjostolv Moland (28), are charged with murder, attempted murder, espionage, conspiracy and armed robbery, after their driver was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head in Congo’s northeastern Orientale province.
The two Norwegians have denied all allegations, and claim that their driver was shot by armed gangs. Of course, the trial wouldn’t have been a corrupt banana republic worthy if the he prosecution hadn’t also demanded this week that Norway pays Congo $500 billion in damages over the incident.
The trial continues on Tuesday. In either case the two seem to be screwed.
But at least we already know who will play Moland in the upcoming movie of the Congolese farse.
Mike Myers may play his part again too.
I hope for the sake of the victim and his family that the guilty parts will face a proper trial and be brought to justice some day.
Now with Charlie Sheen going crazy in the US, maybe it’s just a matter of time before the headline becomes true: Charlie Sheen in the news
